Busy much???

I made a goal for myself after I finished my master's degree last July. That goal was to have more time for me and the hubs. We tend to get extremely busy, extremely quickly. Out of the last 5 weekends, Jack and/or I have been out of town for four of them. Craziness. And as I look at the calendar for March, it doesn't look a whole lot better. Sheesh. I really don't feel like I say yes to everything, but our schedule fills up with church events like no one's business.

Needless to say, Jack and I are having a date night this Friday. It has been awhile. We are heading downtown to have dinner and hang out in Savannah. I am looking forward to it. :)

I guess the only good thing about being busy is that time flies! Where the heck did February go? We are on the countdown at school still. 8 days until the writing test...5(ish) weeks until spring break...6(ish) weeks until the CRCT...and 11(ish) weeks until the end of the year! Wow. I can't believe it. This year has gone by pretty quickly with my kiddos. I always miss them the most at the beginning of the next school year, as I think about them braving middle school.

No other news, really. Gibbs is good, but he is going through the "I want to bite everything" stage. He is quite a cuddle bug, but also a biter when he is really playful. Jack and I frequently sing "Soft kitty" to him, from the Big Bang Theory. No, I'm not kidding. :)

A quick update

I haven't blogged much lately. I want to say that I have been too busy, but I think I just haven't had anything super exciting to share. Life has been rolling right along. My kitty is still doing great. He is much more comfortable with us now, and very playful. :) We love him.

January went by quickly. Time is ticking down at school. This is the time of the year when we start many countdowns. 4 weeks until the writing test. 8 weeks until spring break. 9 weeks until the CRCT. 13 weeks until the end of the school year. It goes by quickly!

We had almost 40 youth come over on Sunday for the Super Bowl party. It was a lot of fun...and a big old mess. We had a few spills, a LOT of trash, and our curtain rod over our sliding glass doors was yanked out of the wall. No biggie. They seemed to have a lot of fun, though. :)

I lead worship for a retreat two weeks ago. It was awesome! Great time, great ladies, and a nice time of spiritual renewal. I am leading worship this upcoming weekend as well for a retreat, and then I am leading a retreat next weekend for the high school girls in our youth group. Wow! I'm ready for some time to relax, but I also enjoy these retreats.

That's about it. Trying to be productive this week before I head out for the weekend.
